One in a million..

Well aren’t we in a bloggy mood this week?

Actually, I seem to be in a writing mood as I’ve been carrying my pen and notebook with me everywhere for the last couple of days, something that I can assure you, I don’t do very often. Steve and I had our lunch date today which ended up being lunchless as we both decided to skip lunch - save funds and go window shopping instead. It was a break from our usual lunch date routines which usually includes Japanese for lunch and fighting people for free seating. Anyway, in hindsight, it probably wasn’t the best idea not to eat because by the end of the hour I was feeling really faint due to the blood sugars not being replenished. So I then decided to treat myself to a nice lunch and go to Cafe 21 and order the Club Sandwich. Also managed to hit up the Diva sales and picked up a couple of nice pieces for $5 each. Oh and I got a new hat too. Check it out in the pics below!

The main reason for my visit into the City was so that I could certify some documents for Steve’s uni application in preparation for submission on Friday! Yay! I’m really excited about this week, there’s alot going on and for once I have enough time to do it all.

First exam is around the corner on the 10th. It’s a statistics one at 8AM too. Killer DX. Luckily (I think..) the paper is 50 multi choice questions so I’ll be able to use powers of deduction (read: Guess my way through the exam)! Actually, I seriously hope the two other pieces of assessment give me a close enough total to a pass so that I can wing this exam no worries. *fingers crossed*

I haven’t heard from Erin this week. I’m a little bit worried as the last time someone didn’t return my calls or messages, ended up ignoring me for reasons unknown for a month. BUT I’m pretty sure that’s not it and she’s just being slack. We’re both working the Stradbroke Cup race day this coming Saturday, so I’ll definitely see her there (I hope).

I bet you think this song’s about you..

DFO Madness!

Yesterday, LB, Alex and me went to the DFO. Actually, it was just supposed to be LB and I, but the brother wanted to tag along too and start up his emo wardrobe. No shit, I think the geek is seriously going emo. Black wardrobe complete with a pair of Chuck Taylors. Well, I suppose CT’s aren’t exclusively emo, but they’re associated with the culture. Not that I can speak because I came home with a pair of them too  Except in my defence, they’re bright blue and yellow and they’re low cuts. So ner.

I didn’t buy as much as I thought I did as I’ve been buying a lot of shit the last couple of weeks. The Bargain Bandit Award goes to LB though, for his purchase of Fila casual shoes for $35 reduced from $120 *clap clap*, although I did get a Mooks polo for $10 reduced from $60. His is much more impressive since he has massive feet and even finding normal shoes are a challenge, let alone sale products!

Funny story of the day: There was a brand new BMW who parked right in the middle of two spots (in the middle of a busy Saturday), and its windscreen was covered in hate mail. Some letters were pretty articulate. I mean, someone used the term ‘arrogant wanker’, way above LB and I’s expectations as far as the general public’s use of insult words other than those which start in ‘f’ and end in ‘uck’ and variants.

So anyways, also bought some clothes for the Kyrin and dropped them over his place and then went off to work. It was such a massive day! Work was so so. Wasn’t as busy as Friday night which was boo since time goes alot slower. AS messaged me while I was at work as well. Interesting.

Today I am back off to the DFO since Alex wants some more Converse shoes (there is a sale on too), and I really don’t want to traverse to the airport on a weekday. So today it is! Plus there was another belt I saw that goes with my new dress that I forgot to buy yesterday as well :P

It’s hard to say what it is I see in you
Wonder if I’ll always be with you
Words can’t say it, I can’t do
Enough to prove, it’s all for you

An oldie, but awesome.

Summer calling..

I officially kick butt at Salsa.

Today lots of new people joined the class. I danced really well. I’m finding myself really flowing with the music, which is alot more than I can say for some people who seem robotic *cough* JOHN *cough*. I’m having real trouble at the Rhumba though. It’s too.. how to say, sensual? I mean, I don’t have a problem with it, but I do have a problem with everyone else I’ve been partnered with to be really tense, and it seems really unnatural. Anyway, enough of dancing.

Oh yeah, yesterday went shopping and got a bag, some Marcs Baby Doll sunnies and a CTN baby pink polo!

This afternoon, LB and I went to Garden City for some light shopPING. It was awesome. I wore my super cute Summer dress, and my $1 saddle bag. I bought myself these really super cute denim short shorts from VG. I don’t normally like pale denims but this one really stuck out, and went well with my polo I got yesterday, so it’s awesome. Will have to take some photos. Oh yeah, and my new sunnies are aviators, which I also don’t normally go for, but they’re pink and awesome and RRP $170! So ner.

I was supposed to go out tomorrow with LB, but no. I have to go to Inala and then to Kevin’s to wish him Happy Birthday. Sux. Oh well. Since we’re open friends now, there’s plenty of time to hang out and shizz! I’m socialising him with cinemas and restaurants, we’re so cute and awesome!

ShopPING!

I have the world’s best shopping companion ever.

He likes shopping!
He can navigate through crowds!
He gives me real feedback!
He carries bags too!

What more from a friend can a person ask for?! :D

If I had my way..

Today was my first assessment of the semester.

I can’t believe it’s week 7 already. Ugh. Time flies so by! I’ll be on holidays in a couple of weeks, only for a week as it’s mid semester break, but nevertheless, it will be good because Erin will be on holidays too! We’ve got a couple of things pencilled in to do; such as go to the beach, go shopping, go Dreamworld, go get our Old Time Western photos done. So many plans! Oh and it’ll be her sister Jennifer’s 18th birthday in there too. So Erin volunteered to show her the ropes and take her out for drinks. I’m invited too so I guess we can go dancing and whatnot. It better be good this time

Anyway, back to the assessment. Our group (Aptly named ‘Group Awesome’) did this awesome presentation on the Queensland Corrective Services and it went rather smooth, considering we began with the smallest group of the class (4 members) to end up almost doubling and having 7 members. That worked out for the better because the workload was divided between more members and everyone had their own fresh ideas to bring to the group. I sort of started talking to this person in the group, his name is Aaron and he’s kinda like the male version of the non emo Flora. He does volunteering for the SES and is practically studying the same thing as I, except he does 5 subjects which is ridiculously nerdy. Well don’t look into it too much, I’m not. He’s just interesting to talk to I suppose, friends in class is always good.

I had a nap when I got home today. Actually, I fell asleep whilst playing Phoenix Wright  Oh yeah, I bought myself more games! I ordered PW for myself and CoD3 for Alex. So we’ve been busy playing games and watching DVDs, separately of course. Brothers and sisters never hang out :P

Talking to Kyrin at the moment, he’s so nub! ~~<3 Kyrin! ^____^

Tomorrow is SHOPPING! I’ve got a fair bit of money saved up so I’m going to use some of it tomorrow. We’re probably going to go to Chermside only because it’s fuck off huge and has just about everything there (even a Dreamy Donuts according to Erin *shakes fist*), so that shall be an adventure and a half. I can’t wait :D

Wardrobe, bitch

A very intensive day indeed. 5+ hours of shopping. Pure shopping.

Well, nothing but a jar in a bin for me, but plenty for other people.

I had an awesome day, thanks to those for making it happen..~

In other unexpected news;

You don’t want to hurt me,
But see how deep the bullet lies.
Unaware that I’m tearing you asunder.
There’s a thunder in our hearts, baby..

So much hate for the ones we love?
Tell me, we both matter, don’t we?
You, (If I only could, be running up that hill)
You and me (If I only could, be running up that hill)
You and me, won’t be unhappy..~

Remove and replace..

I have to go.

Cairns v2

Erin and I are going to Cairns this year.

Yep, Cairns. Sure I’ve been there before, but why not go again? Erin hasn’t been. It will be awesome. We’re going to be leaving in mid November and staying for a week. I so can’t wait! I’m actually going to be doing the exact same tour I organised in 2005, but really, it’s such a great deal I couldn’t possibly pass it up again! I’ve sort of drawn up a tentative plan up with budgets and whatnot. Come to think of it, I actually organise a fair whack of things around here. Last year I organised Sydney (no, not the bad bits!), with the hostels and stuff. It’s good I guess, because Erin just seems to go with the Flo (heh, get it? *hangs head in shame*)

Anyways, it will be great. This time around, I’ll be old enough to check out what little nightlife Cairns has to offer! Scotto visited Cairns recently and spoke of many wonders including toad racing! TOAD RACING! Imagine that! So anyways, I think having a holiday in the making will be just what I need.

On another side note of great plans in the making, I think I am going to be be doing a bit of spending.

First up; replacing the DS. I need a lite. Badly. And a digital camera.

So many things to remove and replace. So many memories to get rid of. Unbelievable.. Unforgettable.. Unforgivable..

Protected: We could live through these letters.. (No reading for you, Brad :P)

You’ve got to get better..

Day 6

DO NOT PASS GO AND DO NOT COLLECT $200

lawl, nah, I did. I love how bearable family can become once you pass GO. So far I’ve collected various gifts and souvenirs which have made sharing a room with Lex a bit more worth my while.

So off on another blogging adventure! Today Jess Page and I went on a rainy coastal adventure. First stop: Pacific Fair! You know, I had kinda forgotten how half the shops in this joint are OUTSIDE and NOT under cover. Boo. But it was light rain and I did lots of shopping so all is not lost completely.

I bought:
- a pair of dark denim skinnys from Dotti
- a belt from Dotti
- a pair of shoes from HD
- top from Westco

That’s all for now, I think.. :P I had to resist SO much temptation not to buy these really super cute flats, but yeah.. I wish I did now :(

And then our next stop was SURFERS PARADISE! :D :D :D

Here, Jess and I went and played mini golf, dodgem cars and laser skirmish at Timezone as well as some other random games. Was heaps of fun. We were going to do Infinity but I had spent heaps of monies already :( Jess was pretty disappointed I think, but I will have to make it up to her another day.

On a totally different note though, I don’t think he deserves a mourning period at all. In fact, nothing, zip, zilch, zero. I’m so sick of feeling sorry for myself when I find out things I don’t want to know.

Erin hasn’t called me back and I don’t know what we’re doing on Thursday. But on Thursday, Flora is going to be out on the town, rockin’ it out. I should crawl into bed now, crime prevention leaflets don’t hand themselves out you know. No really, they don’t!

Flora wears ‘crappy’ tees

According to Adam, he doesn’t like my threadless.com shirts. Speaking of which, I forgot to tell everyone that for my birthday Erin’s present to me was to choose some shirts from threadless. Which was pretty cool since they were having a $10USD sale! So I chose a few:

Funkalicious

Some Choices Are Just Out of Reach < -- CMON! ZACH BRAFF WEARS 'EM! HOW CAN THEY BE CRAP?

Sharp is Relative

Nineteen Seventy Five

This is already added to my collection of another 4 shirts I previously bought from threadless.com towards the end of last year.

Flowers in the Attic

The Morning After < -- Awesome Sunday morning shirt :P Very much appropriate, almost!

City Lights

Cookie Loves Milk

I was never a fan of tees until I got these, but they are just awesome and go with everything and any situation, though I wouldn’t wear the ‘Flowers in the Attic’ one around someone depressed though..
